| The linear motion elements in FastTrack Digitizers
utilize a dual-"V" guide wheel system that is a proven,
efficient method of obtaining precision linear motion. The guide
wheels are precision ground, double row angular contact ball
bearings, which are pre-lubricated and permanently sealed. The
dual-"V" shaped track is cold formed from medium carbon
steel that has been hardened and polished on the "V"
contact surfaces.
Since the circumference of the wheels is greater at the major
diameter than the minor diameter, there is a constant wiping
action on the track which gives a self-cleaning effect. Contaminants
do not cause any great loss of efficiency in the system. |
