are designed to be used only by office personnel in office type
environments, the FastTrack Digitizers have been designed for
ease of use by shop personnel, and they have also been designed
to withstand the potential abuse that can be a part of the shop
floor.
One look at the FastTrack Digitizers and you can see that
they are rugged! The bearing wheels have been significantly
oversized, the bearing track is oversized, and the structural
components are heavy gauge. The laser is protected in a heavy
aluminum block. The optical encoders and electrical connections
are protected within heavy aluminum boxes. The entire unit
is designed to be able to withstand the bumps and dings that
are a fact of life on the shop floor.
